Jeff is a graduate of Bucknell University and Temple University School of Law. After law school, He was a law clerk to the Honorable John Morgan Davis, Judge, United States District Court for the Eastern District of PA. Prior to law school, he served in the United States Navy, 4 years active duty and 2 years active reserve. He was honorably discharged in 1974.

He was a partner in the Pottstown law firm of O'Donnell, Weiss and Mattei where he concentrated mainly in the areas of family law and general litigation. In 1991, he and Richard Linderman, Esquire formed the law firm of Linderman and Mahle, PC. He started his solo practice in 1994 and has practiced from 758 High Street, Pottstown, ever since.

Jeff is a member and past director of the Montgomery County Bar Association and currently serves on the Family Law Committee of the Bar. Through the years, he has served on boards of various local charitable organizations, including The Salvation Army, The Visiting Nurse Association of Pottstown and Vicinity, The American Heart Association, American Business Club, and Brookside Country Club. Jeff is married to his wife, Dale. She is executive director of the Tri County Area Chamber of Commerce.
